The volunteers were nominated by the charities where they work to receive the award from High Sheriff of Oxfordshire, Penelope Glen at Oxford Town Hall.

Ninety charities and 44 volunteers were nominated for an award at the event, hosted by Oxfordshire Community and Voluntary Action (OCVA).

Inspirational volunteers and charities were recognised for their contribution to the Oxfordshire community at an awards event attended by over 350 people.

Judith was nominated for the award having volunteered her time full time for a year with the Earth Trust, completing a multitude of tasks to an extremely high standard proving herself invaluable to our work.  Judith has a great passion for conservation work, which is plain to see, and rubs off on those staff and volunteers working around her.

Judith took on a diverse role here and has given her all to everything that she does.  She has learnt to lead our regular volunteer teams whose members have a great deal of respect for her and her work.  She has worked with individual volunteers too, giving them time and encouragement.  Throughout her time with the Trust, Judith completed practical and data collection projects including the set up of a mink monitoring programme. She has organised events for the Trust and worked over and above the hours requested of her.
