First festival of autumn - at the Earth Trust
Over 500 people from across the region attended our first ever Autumn Festival at the Earth Trust Centre on 5th November
The event was held to celebrate the magic of the autumn season, and give local families and those from Children’s Centres in Oxford, Berinsfield and Banbury the chance to have fun outdoors and explore what nature has to offer.
We were very fortunate with the weather on the day and visitors had a great time building minibeast houses for hibernating invertebrates, weaving a giant spider’s web, making flying creatures and tree planting. There was also story telling and lots of singing and dancing. All of the activities proved very popular with the children (and many of the parents too!) and a great day was had by all. The Earth Trust Centre was buzzing with excitement and we got some fantastic coverage from BBC Radio Oxford and an article in the Oxford Mail. We can’t wait for next year’s event!
We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to the event. If you missed out, don’t despair! We have plenty of fun family events lined up such as our traditional Christmas decoration making course, Dark of the Moon Guided Walk, and of course our wonderful Lambing Weekends.
