Feedback from our weddings
Mathew Church, wedding reception, February 2015:
"This is a fantastic
wedding venue.The barn is beautiful
and it’s like a blank canvas where you can let your imagination run away with
you. Plenty of room for a
good sized wedding as we had just over 80 guests, it also has lots of little
break out areas that you can change in to feature or theme rooms.
The team at the Earth
Trust are fantastic and they were very flexible with us about timings and what
we wanted to create.
We had our wedding on
a cold day in February and the barn was very warm, warmer than a lot of the
hotels we looked at, and with the look of the barn as a feature it’s much
better than the standard hotel function area, and it has bags more character. All our guests
commented on how beautiful the location was and how much they enjoyed being
there. Our photographer was
really impressed with the location and there are some beautiful shots to be had
around the buildings in the courtyard and the main reception area.
I couldn't recommend
it highly enough as it really is a hidden gem of a venue."
Sarah Jones, blessing ceremony and reception, October 2014:
"The barn was the perfect venue for our blessing ceremony and reception – we wanted somewhere elegant, unfussy and natural which was exactly what we got. The grounds were a lovely setting for our photos and we wouldn't have changed anything about the day."
Samira Dar, family gathering, October 2014:
"All the contact we had with the Earth Trust in organising this event has been really positive and we received a very warm welcome on the day. The facilities were excellent. The children’s activities were a real success and the group leader was very patient and inspiring to the children in the group. I can wholeheartedly recommend this venue and would absolutely love to use the venue again. The surrounding area is beautiful and made our day truly wonderful."
Sarah Tarrant, wedding reception, August 2014:
“We both knew Fison Barn was the place for our reception the first day we saw it - it is a lovely venue and location. Not only that but a real attraction was that we could organise our own caterer and bar/alcohol, and were not bound by any in-house caterer - this is very rare and should be preserved as it is such a positive point.
Rosie was extremely patient and organised during the approach to the date.
The terms and conditions are fair and it is nice that real candles can be used in the barn. We were a bit disappointed by the early finish time, but were fully aware of this at the time of booking. We felt the barn offered very good value for money, compared to other similar venues we had enquired at, and were also attracted by the fact the money was going to a charitable cause.
We visited the barn several times before the day to take family and suppliers there to see it and the Earth Trust were always very accommodating with opening and letting us in. On the set-up day Rosie was on hand to explain things to us and when Jenny arrived to close up she was really helpful and patient.
We absolutely loved the venue, and we have had very many compliments on the location, and the venue. We managed to get up the clumps along with many of our guests, which was a real highlight for us.”
Kathy Longford, wedding reception. August 2014:
“Stunning place, extremely helpful support and advice, and we had such a warm welcome from Rosie who seemed almost as excited about our wedding day as we were! She really did think of everything and the day went off very smoothly.
Thank you so much for everything!”
Daniel Oldershaw, wedding reception, June 2014:
"Overall, we were delighted with the barn; we thought it was absolutely perfect. We loved the fact that we had the flexibility to do what we wanted with it and treat it like a blank canvas. The end result looked great!"
Fleur Frederick and Damien Jones, wedding reception, June 2014:
"The venue is gorgeous and very flexible, and offered just the right mix of internal and external space for what we wanted to do. The location is stunning and our guests loved walking up the Clumps to admire the views. Rosie was just brilliant – she's unflappable and incredibly helpful, and never-failingly cheerful, too! The camping area was very popular, especially with guests who had children."
