The stunning loddon lily (also known as the summer snowflake) is a native but nationally rare plant, found in good numbers along the River Thames at Church Meadow, below the Wittenham Clumps. The lily thrives in wet and humid conditions, making the conditions found here, amongst sedges in damp hollows, ideal.
