Learning outside the classroom
Great Energy Debate
Key Stage 3, Years 7 to 9
Hands-on investigations fill this day as pupils handle a variety of rocks and learn how they were formed. Categorizing and sort activities and testing the properties of rocks form the inside part of this day. Outside we investigate the rocks that form our landscape and how they have influenced the humans that have lived here and what we have used them for. We also investigate soils and try making some of our own.
