Come along to the Earth Trust and South Oxfordshire District Council Jubilee Party on Monday 4th June for a fantastic musical celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Join in a drumming workshop: it's brilliant fun and also builds confidence and self-esteem. We can guarantee that there will be a few grown-ups itching to ditch the role of spectator and grab a drum themselves! Just try and stop yourself!
Everybody can enjoy both African Drumming and Samba music whether you are a budding musician or have no natural rhythm what so ever! Each workshop will include learning how to play your own drum, learning traditional rhythms, playing musical games and even putting together a performance. So come along and celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee with some funky beats and infectious rhythms!
The children's workshops are running thoughout the family focused Jubilee Party 11am-3pm. They'll be another drumming workshop in the evening for adults that want a proper go in the activities arena!
If the children, or you(!) are feeling inspired, there'll be opportunity to make your own drum or another percussive instrument out of recycled materials. Or, make your own Jubilee momento to take home with you!
