Imagining

Shaping our world for the future

Wildflower meadowOur Imagining programme is about exploring and helping to shape what our world might look like in the future, so that we can make small steps to take action today.

Paradise Wood, a national research woodland, is home to hardwood improvement research trials that help us image the impacts of climate change on the vital timber resource and so influence future forestry policy.

Our sites are real life examples of what landscapes could be like in future: from creating more than 25 football pitches of wildflower meadows to a wetland wilderness along 2.5 kms of the River Thames.
