Leaving your legacy with the Earth Trust
We know how much our wonderful places such as the Wittenham Clumps, Little Wittenham Wood and Thrupp Lake mean to our supporters and how important it is to you that these sites are protected and conserved now and in the future. Gifts in wills are instrumental in allowing us to make ours and our supporter’s visions for the future a reality.
We are a small organisation with a big job to do, so you can rest assured that a gift in your will to the Earth Trust will make a real and significant difference to the people and places you love.
How gifts in wills help the Earth Trust
Safeguard the future of our amazing landscapes
Our natural landscapes are facing greater threats than ever before. At the Earth Trust we own and protect amazing places such as the Wittenham Clumps and Little Wittenham Nature Reserve, Thrupp Lake at Radley, and three Community Meadows. Your gift will enable us to safeguard these natural places long into the future.
Protect fragile species and habitats
From wildflowers and butterflies to bats, birds and great crested newts. Can you imagine a future without these amazing species? Your gift allows us to undertake vital conservation projects, such as creating 95 acres of wildflower meadow and creating three new ponds for great crested newts. You can help secure the future of our precious native species and habitats.
Help us provide life-changing opportunities
We believe that by giving people and communities amazing opportunities and experiences that connect them with the environment, they will be inspired to make small changes to their everyday lives that make a big difference to the world around us. Your gift helps us provide events, activities, courses and learning programmes for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Contribute to future forests
Our research woodland Paradise Wood is the largest collection of hardwood forestry trials in Britain. We've planted 60,000 trees and created a living genetic bank for hardwood species so that we can try to improve resilience to climate change. Your gift can help shape a sustainable forestry resource for future generations.
Why make a Will?
Having an up-to-date will is so important, but less than half of people in the UK have one when they die. Without an up-to-date will, family and friends could well be faced with a financial and legal muddle. Those you may have wished to benefit like friends and good causes may end up with nothing. A will is a uniquely personal document - your way of knowing that your final wishes will be carried out. It will ensure that those closest to you are provided for and - should you wish - support causes you care about.
