Practical Land Management

Practical land management for conservation can make a genuine difference both immediately and for the longer term through habitat creation and management.
The work we do is very seasonal but tasks may include:
- Coppicing
- Tree planting
- Fencing
- Scrub clearance
- Bonfires
All training and safety equipment is provided.
All levels of experience are welcome.
Weekly Friday Volunteer Group
Meets: Every Friday (excluding bank holidays)
Time: 9am - 4pm
Location: Always meet at Earth Trust Centre, Little Wittenham, OX14 4QZ but we will be working across all the Earth Trust's sites.
Info: Gloves, tools and hot drinks provided but please bring a packed lunch if you intend to stay until 4pm. Sturdy footwear and warm/waterproof clothing needed.

Wallingford Green Gym
A small community group in South Oxfordshire which engages in improving the rural environment.
Meets: Every Tuesday
Time: 10am - 1pm
Monthly Saturday Volunteer Group - temporarily suspended
We have had to temporarily stop running the Saturday Volunteer Group, but we hope to resurrect the group again later this year - watch this space!

Ecological surveys are the basis of land management for conservation.
Surveys are season dependent and for some species licences may be required.
